Laying the wreath
Low tide at Port Sorell
A small memorial was held at Port Sorell beach, as Mum wished, with her immediate family on the 28th of March, 2020. The marker on the map shows the location that a wreath and her ashes, which were scattered at low tide.
Mum used to walk Ellie along the beach every day, and along the foreshore path. We have commissioned a chair along the path, near the walking path entreance on Rice St in Port Sorell. The Chair looks out over where Mum's ashes were spread.
Mum loved outback Australia, she also loved the Murray river. For her last birthday the entire family went on a houseboat cruise out of Mildura up and down the Murray, ranging between Gol-Gol and Coomealla; stopping in at the vineyards and taking walks in the native bushland along the riverbank.
Mum absolutely loved Wedge tailed eagles, so it was very fitting that on the day that she left us, a group of three wedge tailed eagles held a fly over of the house as the funeral parlour staff took her from the house.

Too easyMum's 70th birthday celebration was held on the Murray River. Cruising the Murray is something she loved to do and was so happy to have her whole family there with her for her 70th. There are some photos from the week via the following link.

Each life is touched by others and the recent, sudden passing of our dear friend, Kaye has demonstrated this truth. We will miss her warmth, caring nature, boundless smiles and laughter shared in our “Old Tarts” monthly meetings for nearly twenty five years.
She made a difference.
Vale Kaye.
