Lasagne Meat Sauce Cheese Sauce 1 tbspn oil 60g butter 500g mince 4 tbspn flour 2 x 470g cans chopped tomatoes 2 cups milk 1 onion salt and pepper 2 x cloves garlic ½ tspn nutmeg basil & oregano ( 1 tspn of each ) 125g grated cheese 1 tbspn tom paste 1 tbspn parmesan cheese CHEESE SAUCE Melt butter in saucepan, stir in flour, gradually add milk, stirring constantly until sauce boils and thickens. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. add cheeses, stir until cheese melts. MEAT SAUCE Heat oil in pan, saute onion. Add mince and cook till browned. Add garlic, oregano and basil. Then add tomatoe paste ( I usually add about a tbspn of worcestershire sauce to give it more flavour ) then add canned tomatoes. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 – 15 minutes. Layer the mince lasagne and sauce in flat baking dish.( I usually add a bit more grated cheese on the cheese sauce layer ) Sprinkle the top with more grated parmesan and tasty cheese. Then sprinkle some paprika to garnish. Bake for 15mins. BON APPETIT’
